Using Jolteon

For breeding, and training Jolteon I recommend checking out the Smogon Jolteon Page. Smogon is one of the best resources for planning your team and training competitive Pokemon. While I don't play competitively, I can recommend the Baton Pass set, which is all about using Jolteon as a revenge knockout. This takes advantage Jolteon's special attack and speed stats:

  • Jolteon with Leftovers
  • Ability: Volt Absorb
  • EVs: 4 Def / 252 SpA / 252 Spe
  • Timid Nature
  • - Substitute
  • - Baton Pass
  • - Thunderbolt
  • - Hidden Power Ice

    Obtain Jolteon

Method of Evolution: To evolve an Eevee into a Jolteon, you simply use a Thunder Stone. A list of Thunder Stone Locations is listed below. These are very general locations, if you need detailed instructions for each game, then I suggest google. If you don't already have an Eevee, head on over to Eevee game locations.

R/B/Y/FR/LG: A Thunder Stone can be purchased on the 4th floor of the Celadon City Department Store. It costs $2100. A pair of thunder stones can also be found at the Kanto Power Plant (Fire Red, and Leaf Green only). There are two located there, and one is hidden.

G/S/C/HG/SS: Multiple thunder stones can be obtained in these games. The easiest way to receive a thunder stone, is to get it from Bill's Grandfather in Fuchsia City. To receive the stone, you must show him a Pichu.

R/S/E: Thunder stones can be obtained two ways in this game, but one of the ways requires the HM Dive. One can be found in New Mauville Power Plant. There are quite a few Voltorbs disguised as items though, so be careful. The second way to get a thunder stone is to exchange yellow shards with the Diving Treasure Hunter. He can be found on Route 124.

D/P/Pt: Thunder Stones can occasionally be found in the Underground. One can be found behind Vista Lighthouse in Sunyshore City. In Platinum only, a thunder stone can be found in the Solaceon Ruins.

B/W: A worker at Shopping Mall Nine will give you a thunder stone for free. One can also be found in Chargestone Cave. You also have a 10% chance of finding any kind of stone in Dust Clouds.

B2/W2: A hidden thunder stone can be found near the Pokemon Center in Nimbasa City. Chargestone Cave also has a thunder stone. Like in Black and White, you still have a 10% chance of finding a stone in a Dust Cloud.

X/Y: The easiest way to obtain a thunder stone in X and Y, is to buy one at the Stone Emporium in Lumiose City. A thunder stone will cost you $2,100. If you don't want to buy one, one can also be found on Route 10. There is also a hidden thunder stone on Route 11.
