Using Flareon

For breeding, and training Flareon I recommend checking out the Smogon Flareon Page. Smogon is one of the best resources for planning your team and training competitive Pokemon. While I don't play competitively, I can recommend the Guts set, which is all about using Flareon's attack stat:

  • Flareon with Toxic Orb
  • Ability: Guts
  • EVs: 252 Atk / 4 Def / 252 Spe
  • Adamant Nature
  • - Facade
  • - Superpower
  • - Flame Charge
  • - Bite

    Obtain Flareon

Method of Evolution: To evolve an Eevee into a Flareon, you simply use a Fire Stone. A list of Fire Stone Locations is listed below. These are very general locations, if you need detailed instructions for each game, then I suggest google. If you don't already have an Eevee, head on over to Eevee game locations.

R/B/Y/FR/LG: A Fire stone can be purchased on the 4th floor of the Celadon City Department Store. It costs $2100. A pair of fire stones can also be found on Mt. Ember in Fire Red and Leaf Green. However, it is easier just to purchase them, as the Mt. Ember stones require the HM Strength and the HM Rock Smash.

G/S/C/HG/SS: Multiple fire stones can be obtained in these games. The best and easiest way to receive a fire stone, is to get it from Bill's Grandfather in Fuchsia City. To receive the stone, you must show him either a Vulpix (S, and SS) or a Growlithe (G, HG, and C).

R/S/E: Fire stones can be obtained two ways in this game, but one of the ways requires the HM Dive. One can be found in the Fiery Path through Mt. Chimney. A fire stone can be found in the southwest corner of the cave, but requires the HM Strength. The second way to get a fire stone is to exchange red shards with the Diving Treasure Hunter. He can be found on Route 124.

D/P/Pt: Fire Stones can occasionally be found in the Underground. Inside the Fuego Ironworks, a fire stone can be found. You can also receive a fire stone by talking to Mr. Fuego for the first time (D, and P only) In Platinum only, a fire stone can be found in the Solaceon Ruins.

B/W: On a pier south of Castelia City's entrance, you can receive a fire stone from a man as a gift. One can also be found near the Desert Resort. You also have a 10% chance of finding any kind of stone in Dust Clouds.

B2/W2: A fire stone can be found north of the Pokemon Center in Lentimas Town. One can still be found near the Desert Resort in these games as well. Like in Black and White, you still have a 10% chance of finding a stone in a Dust Cloud.

X/Y: The easiest way to obtain a fire stone in X and Y, is to buy one at the Stone Emporium in Lumiose City. A fire stone will cost you $2,100. If you don't want to buy one, one can also be found on Route 9. A hidden fire stone can also be found on Route 13, near one of the central buildings.
